Why RAD

Hello hello I’m Soph,

The founder of Rise Against Division, thought I would jump on and say a little bit about me and how R.A.D came about. I grew up in the Northern Rivers, if you have been there you would know it’s a little slice of paradise. I count my lucky stars that I was able to grow up there. When I was 23, I packed my bag and moved to Canada for two years to meet groovy souls, travel, jump out of my comfort zone and create magical memories (If you haven’t been to Canada…go!!). Also met a girl..fell in love, that was special. Came home to the Northern Rivers to find my feet after travels, found my feet and moved to Burleigh Heads. 

Things that set my soul on fire are my family, friends and going on adventures with people I love. I played my first year of AFL this year which was really rad. Any chance I get I’m in the ocean splashing around. Love a hot choccy at @dusktemple too and a couple of sneaky beverages on a Sunday of course. This beautiful place we call Home 🌏 blows me away all the time from waterfalls to mountains, beaches and rock formation I’m constantly in awe of where we are.

Why I created Rise Against Division, I wanted to create something with a difference and be better within myself. With the clothing industry being the second biggest polluter in the world… I didn’t know if I wanted to get involved. But I took some time to think about it and my thought was how are we going to change that.. if we can get folks to purchase Hemp and flip the industry by creating more options for us to be a conscious consumers, we can have a positive effect and introduce change from what we currently know.
